With a positive clip mechanism these hoods reduce the possibility of accidental damage to instrumentation in use.

The two hoods are designed for circular inlets / outlets up to 200mm in diameter and square up to 330mm x 330mm. Supplied as standard in a light weight carry bag.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q Can I use any 100mm vane anemometer with the Testo hood product ?

A No, these items are specifically designed for the Testo vane anemometers such as the 417 product. It should also be remembered that the instrumentation must be calibrated for volume flow so that the errors in the complete system are known.

Q Will the hood put a back pressure on the system being tested and this influence the results ?

A The instrumentation can create a small back pressure on some systems, but as they are often used as proportional balancing tools this effect is the same on each part of the ventilation system being checked. Hence the overall balancing ratio's remain constant so any system back pressue has a negligible effect on the results.

NOTE: If required, a Testo vane anemometer must be ordered separately to obtain the correct functioning of the equipment.
