Handilaz (formally known as the Abacus) is a miniaturized, battery or mains operated, 4 channel laser air particle counter capable of simultaneously measuring temperature and humidity. It has all the programmable functions of a much larger instrument, despite being miniaturized to hand held size and makes light work of portable particle counting.
The Handilaz is ideal for mobile monitoring of cleanrooms and fully complies to Federal Standard 209 and new ISO 14644 Standard.
The instrument can store up to 500 measurements in memory and interfaces directly to a PC or printer. It has been designed with high capacity, fast charge, interchangeable batteries, to allow extended periods of testing.

The small size and battery operation make the Handilaz® particle counter ideal for point-of-use measurement for particle checks at critical locations. This compact unit has four sizing channels with sensitivities from 0.3µm to 5.0µm. This counter can store up to 500 sets of data in its memory. The Handilaz® unit provides a built-in RS232C communications interface for direct connection to a personal computer or printer. When used with CountWin, a Windows™-based software, data can be retrieved from the counter memory into a personal computer for further analysis by importing to a spreadsheet program. Various cleanroom standard calculations can also be determined using the particle data from the Handilaz® hand-held counter.
