Available now in addition to the traditional HawkeyeŽ line, the new Hawkeye Blue Rigid borescopes combine the value of Hawkeye borescopes with a wider variety of available options. The scopes contain high-quality, German-made optics and feature built in prisms that deliver superb image quality. Hawkeye Blue Rigid borescopes meet specialized visual inspection needs requiring advanced capabilities and performance.
All of the Hawkeye Blue rigid borescopes allow easy rotation of the direction of view by a full 360 degrees in order to thoroughly scan and inspect machined parts. The borescopes are available in diameters ranging from 1 to 8 mm and lengths up to 28 inches.

Blue Rigid borescopes accept the super bright Luxxor Light sources and Light Guides and have a removable handle allowing acceptance of the portable Hawkeye Nova light.

Swing Prism Borescopes
The Hawkeye Blue Swing Prism borescope has a tiny prism at the tip that pivots, or "swings", to vary the direction-of-view from 16° to 118°. A ring on the borescope body controls the prism direction. The field-of-view is 45°, so the borescope effectively sees from -7° to 133°.

Another ring on the borescope body is used for focus and a third ring rotates the borescope tube over 360°, allowing the user to sweep out a full view of the cavity without turning the borescope body.

Diesel engine mechanics use the Swing Prism borescope to examine cylinders, pistons, and valves. Use the Swing Prism to locate and investigate FOD (foreign object damage and debris) in jet engines.
