The Squirrel 2010 is a versatile, general purpose logger, with 4 to 8 analogue input channels to measure current, voltage, resistance and temperature, plus 8 digital channels. All can be logged or used as triggers to automatically start or stop logging.
The SQ2010 is very easy to use via its intuitive icon driven display. For the majority of applications a PC will not be required to configure the SQ2010. This rapid set-up is achieved via its integral four button operator interface - giving accurate, reliable results in almost any data logging situation within minutes. It features a large graphical display, provides 0.1% accuracy, and boasts excellent battery life for unattended logging. This highly flexible, multi-purpose logger has four differential (or eight single ended) analogue input channels to measure current, voltage, resistance and temperature, and eight event inputs. All eight event inputs can either be logged or used as triggers to automatically start or stop logging.
The onboard memory can store up to 1.8 million readings as well as retain up to six separate logger configurations. The unit is able to fulfil many data logging needs, including more demanding applications requiring up to 10 readings per second on one channel.
The SQ2010 also features two pulse rate/counter inputs (one at 64 kHz, one at up to 100Hz), two alarm/relay outputs, and a high specification 24-bit analogue to digital converter to facilitate concurrent sampling. The new logger is powered from internal cells, an external power supply or via USB connection. The onboard RS232 communications can be connected to a modem, a wireless interface or an Ethernet converter to facilitate system networking and the remote transmission of data.
SquirrelView set-up and download software for a PC is provided as part of the system to enable users to export stored data to a chosen PC based application.
The Squirrel 2010 is compatible with Grant’s comprehensive range of temperature probes and with a wide range of commercially available sensors for measuring a variety of physical parameters. It is also compatible with Grant’s portfolio of Squirrel accessories which includes protective enclosures and communications/networking peripherals.
