Audiometry
In Europe, it is law that every company must carry out audiometric examinations on all its employees. It will not be long before the same is true in this country! Even ignoring this fact, which many companies will perilously choose to do, testing employees is the only way to substantially reduce your liability against hearing loss claims. There are also many cases where a company's litigation insurance has been reduced so much that it paid for the actual testing more than twice over.
The RA500 delivers capabilities that previously were extra cost options. The powerful operating software enables an operator to customise the system to fit individual test requirements.
True multi-tasking capability allows the RA500 to process data and conduct tests simultaneously.
Extra value features such as a built-in microphone, dual RS232C communications ports and internal storage of
up to 400 audiograms are all standard.
The software in the RA500 is interactive with the test so that it continually checks for anomalies in the result and will carry out more re-tests at frequencies which do not show consistent results.
The software also monitors hearing threshold levels so that it does not use tones which are uncomfortably loud and unnecessary.
Unit automatically retrieves stored baselines for comparison to current test.
Quiet ultra high speed printer provides archive quality records.
Built in microphone allows talk over communication with test subject.
Baselines can be downloaded from computer via RS232C communications.
Multi level security system protects data and instrument calibration.
EXTRA VALUE FEATURES
Automatic, semi-automatic and manual modes give you flexibility to adapt tests to each individual. Print screen function will generate a hard copy record of audiometric test and menu display.
Raw data printout - valid, legally accepted audiogram record of subjects responses for threshold evaluation. UL approved filter protects audiometer from power line interference's.
Bar graph printout allows rapid visual screening of test performance. Visual error messages are in plain English text.
Elapsed time is printed on audiogram strip Automatic return to main test screen if error condition occurs.
Automatic or manual re-test of missed frequencies saves valuable time. System configuration data printed on demand.
Multiple entry/storage of audiograms, independent of testing sequence. Single audiogram can be transferred to PC without storing test in memory.
"Memory gauge" to display % of memory storage remaining. User defined levels for "quick screening" mode.
Auto-tag mode permits each test stored in memory to be "tagged" for data transfer. Selectable "adaptive mode" allows more automatic tests to be completed.
Data transmission can be monitored on display screen. Selectable Flo/Gemini communicating mode.
Fast audiogram tagging mode for selective record transfer. Choice of OSHA, Canadian or European categorisation criteria.
Multiple baseline entry program for fast storage of older audiometric records. Automatic alert message upon data transfer error.
