'Wind Speed and Strength - in an Instant'
The Airflow Anemo wind speed and strength cup Anemometer is a highly versatile instrument perfect for all those who need to measure outdoor conditions, accurately and economically.
Ergonomically designed for one handed operation the meter is weather resistant and ruggedly constructed to withstand everyday use. Reading directly in km/h, m/sec and knots, Anemo also indicates wind strength in the Beaufort scale.
Using the internationally accepted rotating cup principle, accurate and comparative readings are repeatedly achieved even in gusty, uni-directional wind conditions.
APPLICATIONS
Anemo is an invaluable part of any meteorological test kit and readily lends itself to a wide range of applications where the monitoring of wind conditions can play a critical part in ensuring that public health and safety is maintained. For example, recent official advice states that the spillage of flue-gasses from domestic open-fluid appliances should be monitored in wind conditions below 4 m/sec. With Anemo you can check these conditions together with many other applications including:
EDUCATIONAL
Meteorological studies, research.
ENVIRONMENTAL
Landfill sites, roof top HVAC plant, safety monitoring
INDUSTRIAL
Petro-chem plants, toxic emission stacks.
CONSTRUCTION:
Cranes, platforms, high rise building safety.
LEISURE:
Yachting, Athletics, Wind Surfing, and Gliding.
OPERATION
The instrument is operated easily with one hand. When held at arms length from the body across the general direction of wind flow, readings are instantly indicated by red pointers aligning with four easy to read scales indicating wind speed and strength. Reliability is assured with the durable thermoplastic body designed for use in all weathers, and, because of the mechanical design, which requires no batteries, Anemo may also be operated in low level hazardous areas and will provide many years of trouble free measurement.
FEATURES:
Instant readings of wind speed and strength.
Simple one handed operation.
Easy to read scales in km/h, m/s, knots and Beaufort.
Tough thermoplastic construction with protective cap.
Helps assess outdoor safety conditions affecting building services, landfill sites and toxic discharge flues.
